The SPC Mafia is an unofficial tongue-in-cheek group of the E4s who collaborate to circumvent bureaucracy, red tape, and hard work. The majority of the Army gets out after one enlistment as a Specialist, so the SPC Mafia is a large expansive group. Specialists leverage their extensive knowledge, experience, and interpersonal networks to avoid work or push it off on to privates while carefully avoiding the authorities. At one point, all enlisted personnel belonged to the SPC Mafia.
